— Nicholas Nathanial Miller, 11, Tipton, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009, at his home in Tipton. At 10:55 a.m., the angels swept Nicholas up in their wings and took him to heaven. He passed away at home surrounded by the ones who loved and cared for him. He came to his parents, Jeffrey J. and Debbie J. (Deeter) Miller, as a foster child and was adopted Oct. 26, 2001.
He is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Debbie Miller, Tipton; grandparents, Keith and Dorothy Deeter, Indianapolis, Ron and Shirley Thatcher, Tipton, Jim and Chris Miller, Anderson; along with brothers and sisters, Scott Day, Lawrenceville, Ga., Jessica Miller, Cicero, Travis Miller, Muncie, Kasey Miller, Indianapolis, with Rebecca, Matthew, Gregory and Penny Miller at home in Tipton.
Calling is 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Wesleyan Church in Tipton, with services at 5 p.m. the same date. Pastor Doug Slack will officiate with burial at the Arcadia Cemetery in Arcadia. This is a celebration of Nicholas’s short-lived life and the family has requested that bright and springtime colors be worn instead of dark clothing.
