Joyce E. Hofman

June 5, 1947 - July 3, 2008

Joyce E. (Pine) Hofman, 61, died 4:01 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Southwest Hospital, Middleburg Heights, Ohio. She born June 5, 1947, in Kokomo, the daughter of Russell and Carol Pine. She married Gordon Hofman April 8, 1967, in Greentown, at Meridian Street Christian Church, with the Rev. Howard Jenkins officiating. She graduated from Northwestern High School in the Class of 1965.

She and her husband, Gordon, were foster parents to numerous children in the Cleveland area.

She was the loving mother of Allen (Deborah), Steven (Cindy) and Francis; cherished grandmother of eight; dear sister of Ruthann (Fred) Hawkins, Phyllis (Ron) Lindley, Russell (Sherrie), David (Debra), Joseph (Lelit) and Daniel (Melody) Pine. Also surviving are aunts, Dolly Smith, Kokomo, Cora Haworth, Wisconsin, Betty Boring, Galveston, and Jo Moore, Frankfort; and several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday at Ripepi & Sons Funeral Home, 18149 Bagley Road, Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Interment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
