Marilyn Joyce Hensley, 74, Kokomo, died at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at North Woods Village Health Care Center, Kokomo. She was born March 30, 1934, in Jasper County, to Raymond and Mayme Emerson. On Jan. 17, 1952, she married Glen E. Hensley in Wheatfield.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Center Indiana. Marilyn always enjoyed the company of family and friends.
She was survived by two sons, Kevin Gene Hensley and wife Donna, Kokomo, and Charles Allen Hensley and wife Marilyn, Cicero; a daughter, Brenda Joyce Stout and husband Monty, Greentown; three sisters, Beverly Currie and husband Bill, Pennsylvania, Patricia Blevins, Portage, and Carolyn Rudolph and husband Don, Kousts; a brother, Ronald Emerson and wife Mona; and seven grandchildren, Kyle, Michael, Cory, Brad, Brian, Evan and Allison.
Along with her parents and husband, Marilyn was preceded in death by a son, Glen Jr., four sisters, and a brother.
Services are 5 p.m. Sunday at Ellers Mortuary, 725 S. Main St., Kokomo, with Minister Kendall Faull officiating. Graveside services are 2 p.m. Monday at Hawk Cemetery Yorktown. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the mortuary.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
