Carolyn S. Bruce

Carolyn S. Bruce, 67, Peru, died 12:25 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2008, at her residence. She was born Dec. 23, 1940, in Charleston, W.Va., to Stanley and Bernice Facemeire Williams. On July 15, 1958, in Charleston, W.Va., she married Phillipa “Buck” Bruce, and he survives.

She was a homemaker and a member of Free Will Baptist Church, Bunker Hill.

She is survived by her husband, Phillipa “Buck” Bruce, Peru; sons, Phillip E. “Sam” Bruce Jr., Peru, and Alan Bruce, Washington D.C.; and sisters, Joann Sunday, Peru, and Jane Oswalt, Peru.

Memorial services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Free Will Baptist Church, 279 W. Broadway, Bunker Hill, with Pastor Bill Sheets officiating. No visitation is planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, Peru.
