Pauline Lewis
July 31, 1921 – Oct. 15, 2009
Pauline Eunice (Weeks) Lewis, 88, lifelong resident of Kokomo, passed away peacefully at 7:10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at her home following an extended illness. She was born July 31, 1921, near Greentown, to the late Leibert and Ulalie (Foster) Weeks. She married Howard C. Lewis of Argos, on May 3, 1941, in South Whitley. They were married 53 years when Howard passed away Sept. 9, 1994, of cancer. They were lifelong members of Bible Baptist Church, having served in various capacities.
Mrs. Lewis graduated from Kokomo High School in 1940 and attended Indiana Business College. She retired from Delco Electronics in 1980, after more than 30 years of service in the accounting department. She enjoyed time spent with friends and family, her flower gardening, and sewing projects.
Surviving are three daughters and their spouses, Nancy and Rich Robinson, Hilliard, Ohio, Joyce and Gary Spears, Indianapolis, and Judy and Curt Larson, Auburn, Wash.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Two sisters preceded her in death.
The family wishes to thank Guardian Angel Hospice, her dedicated caregivers, friends from Bible Baptist Church, and Diane Pfeifer, M.D. of Internal Medicine Associates for the many years of quality care.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., with Reese Johnson and the Carmichaels from Bible Baptist Church taking part in the service. Entombment will take place in Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family from 11 a.m. to
1 p.m. Tuesday at Ellers
Mortuary.
