Daniel G. Shock, 58, Fairmount, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, in Fairmount. He was the son of the late Gene Shock and the late Marjorie L (Elston) Shock, born Sept. 10, 1951, in Tipton.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a graduate of Taylor High School and attended Lincoln Technical Institute. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and mushroom hunting.
He is survived by two daughters, Deidra (Chris Painter) Shock, Fairmount, and Dawn McKeehan, Indianapolis; one son, Brian McKeehan, Indianapolis; three step-daughters, Evon Medina and Ashley Trent, both of Indianapolis, and Patricia Henry, Kokomo; his ex-wife, Pamela Trent, Indianapolis; one sister, Linette Shock, Indianapolis; three brothers, Randall Shock, Indianapolis, Anthony Shock, Indianapolis, and Jonathan Shock, Pendleton; two granddaughters, Paige Jones and Destany Horine; grandson, Zachary; two step-grandchildren, Cory Medina and Austin Wilkerson; and his Yorkie dog, Hope.
Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount. Interment will be in Marion National Cemetery, Marion. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
