Jacqueline L. Thomas, 47, Hartford City, died at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie. She was born in Kokomo on April 16, 1964, to Theodore D. and Loretta (Weese) Jarrett. On June 18, 1998, she married George M. Thomas, who survives.
Jacqueline graduated from high school in 1982 in Cherokee, Iowa. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed softball and golf. Jacqueline also was an avid Colts and NASCAR fan. Her favorite driver was Tony Stewart.
Jacqueline is survived by her husband, George Thomas; mother, Loretta (Russell) Jarrett, Kokomo; father, Theodore (Jan) Grell, Gas City; daughters, Amanda (Jason) Mangus, Buzzard Bay, Mass., and Samantha Pence, Hartford City; stepson, John Sites, Kokomo; stepdaughters, Rachael (Denver) Jones and Kara (Hanson) Bultman, both of Kokomo; sisters, Deborah (Steve) Long, and Robin (Rick) Stafford; brothers, Jimmy Coates, John Grell and Mark Grell, all of Kokomo; half sister, Theresa Rooney, Maine; half brother, David Grell Jr., Kokomo; and two grandchildren, Wyatt and Keith Mangus.
She was preceded in death by one brother, David Grell Sr.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Shirley and Stout Funeral Home and Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with the Rev. Jeff Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in Nevada Cemetery, Tipton County. Friends may call on the family from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
