Myra C. (Parrott) Stone, 84, Kokomo, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at her home. She was born Sept. 7, 1928, in Brownsville, Ark., to Andrew Coleman and Alma (Verser) Parrott. She married Chester Stone, and he preceded her in death.
She worked at Delco and was a member of UAW Local 292, Hobby Club and attended New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved watching her grandchildren play baseball. She enjoyed crafting, bird watching, camping, gardening and collecting baseball cards.
She is survived by two sons, Randy Coleman Stone and Bobby Lee (Patricia) Stone; one daughter, Wanda Lee Martin; nine grandchildren, Tamera (Phil) Hellriegal, Dawn (Brant) Belcher, Robert (Michele) Martin, Jeremy (Amy) Martin, Chad (Sheila) Stone, Craig (Teresa) Stone, Clifton (Kassie) Stone, Laura Morgan and Richard (Katie) Morgan; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Leo (Dixie) Stone and Wayne Todd; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Stone; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two grandchildren, Curtis Stone and Summer Bline; one sister, Ina Mae Brewer; three sisters-in-law; and one brother-in-law.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
