Evelyn ‘Elaine’ Kelly

Kokomo — Evelyn “Elaine” Kelly, 67, Englewood, Fla., formerly of Kokomo, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012. Elaine was born to Rufus and Juanita Stober on Sept. 30, 1945, in Rockford, Ohio.

After graduating from high school, she attended Warner Beauty College in Fort Wayne, and became a licensed cosmetologist, still licensed in the state of Florida.

She moved to Kokomo, and became employed as an executive secretary at Chrysler Corp. She left Chrysler as the executive secretary of the plant manager when her husband retired to move to Florida.

While at Chrysler, she attended Indiana University Kokomo, taking business administration and computer classes. She attained her certified professional secretary degree.

Survivors include her husband, Adam, Englewood, Fla.; a brother, Bill (Frieda) Stober, Rockford, Ohio; niece, Stephanie (Todd) Stouffer; nephew, Trey (Tafi) Stober; and stepdaughters, Deborah Kelly, Bunker Hill, and Michele Bixler, Kokomo.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Farley Funeral Home Venice Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
