Edna Earlene Badger 84, passed away at 2:03 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at Christian Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. She was born Oct. 12, 1929, in New Castle, to Leslie Earle and Minnie Melisa (Woodcock) Badger.
Earlene was a graduate of Middletown High School and attended Indiana University. She worked for TWA taking flight reservations and after retirement she became a realtor in Florissant, Mo.
A special “Thank You” goes to her extended family and friends for all the help and care of Earlene over the past years.
Survivors include sisters, Betty Ruth Showen-Bone, Kokomo; brother-in-law, Ronald Abrell, Springport; niece, Claudia (Murel) Showen-Hannah, Greentown; nephews, Steven (Cathy Gilbert) Showen, Florida, Karl (Martha) Showen, Florida, Bob Abrell, Indiana, Bill (Brenda) Abrell, Indiana and John (Leatha) Abrell, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Minnie Badger; and sister, Ada Margaret Abrell.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hasler-Stout Funeral Home 112 E. Main St. Greentown, with Pastor John Clark. Burial will follow in Ellis-New Hope Cemetery in Phlox. Friends may call upon the family from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
