Kokomo — Stephen G. Granson, 50, Kokomo, passed away at 7:08 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at his residence. He was born July 14, 1962, in Kokomo, to Richard “Dick” P. Granson and Olympia “Jo” A. (Stefan) Granson.
He graduated in 1981 from Kokomo High School, and was currently attending Ivy Tech in Kokomo. He had worked for the American Legion Golf Course in Kokomo as superintendent greens keeper. He was a member of National Superintendent Greens Keeper Association. Steve was an avid sports fan, especially Notre Dame football.
Survivors include his mother, Jo Granson, Kokomo; daughter, Abigail B. Atwell, Indianapolis; son, Garrett Stephen Granson, Kokomo; twin brother, Scott A. Granson, Kokomo; brother, Kip and wife Dusty Granson, Lafayette; sister, Denise and husband Bobby Groves, Kokomo; sister, Vicki and husband Mark White, Kokomo; sister, Teresa and Scott Furr, Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., with Pastor Dale Bliss officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, two hours prior to the service at the mortuary. Services will be followed by cremation.
