Kokomo — Jenny D. Helmuth, 81, Kokomo, died at 11:03 a.m. Sunday, April 10, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born June 21, 1929, in Denver, Ind., the daughter of Curtis A. and Ruth (Livengood) Stockdale. On Aug. 28, 1964, at Highland Park Church in Kokomo, she married Orville “Jack” Helmuth, and he survives.
She was a 1948 graduate of Kokomo High School. She was employed at Plant 8 of Delco Electronics for 30 years, retiring in 1981. She was an active member of First Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed her time spent with the Alice Cole Circle of the Westminster Woman’s Association. Jenny dedicated her life to her family and to her church.
Surviving in addition to her husband is one son, Rick Morehead and wife Pam, Kokomo; three daughters, Vicki (Morehead) Geheb and husband Ed, Burlington, Julie (Morehead) Dockemeyer and husband Alan, Kokomo, and Stephanie (Helmuth) McQuinn and husband Mason, Cicero; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Gene Stockdale and wife Martha, South Bend; and one sister, Jane Soblotne and husband Ray, Kokomo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Glen C. Stockdale; and a sister, Virginia A Stockdale.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 2000 W. Jefferson St., with Pastors Jerry Van Auken and Joyce Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Galveston Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
