Robert Shellie Smalley (Bobby) Jr., 60, Florida, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at Florida Hospital South in Orlando, Fla. He was born Sept. 23, 1953, in Augusta, Ga., to Robert Shellie Sr. and Mary Ellen Smalley, Kokomo.
Bobby was a 1972 graduate of Kokomo High School, where he participated in football. He was employed at Chrysler before taking a leave to join the Navy. He is a member of Resound Missions Base Church. He leaves to cherish in his memory his wife, Rosalind Smalley, Florida; his mother, Mary E. Smalley, Kokomo; sons, Robert Shellie Smalley III, Jacksonville, Fla., and Benjamin Smalley, Orlando, Fla.; daughters, Inga Hampton, Lafayette, and Telisa Smalley, Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers, Vernon Smalley (Connie), Kokomo, and Derrick Smalley (Cheryl), Philadelphia; sisters, Wandeka Wilson (Aaron), Kokomo, and Shundre Smalley, Kokomo; grandchildren, Jenna and Dylen Smalley, Florida, and Marquan, Brianna and Isaih, Lafayette, Nya; twins, Charley and Chase Smalley, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert S. Smalley Sr.; and sister, Carla Lynn Smalley.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Resound Missions Base, 7303 Monetary Dr., Orlando, FL 32809.
