Donald L. Fox, 75, North Augusta, S.C., a former Kokomo resident, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at his home. He was born May 10, 1938, in Marshal, N.C. the son of Clifford and Hazel (Waldrop) Fox. He was married to Norma Powell, who survives. On Sept. 14, 1964, he married Judith Joan Buckley, who also survives.
Donald was a graduate of Red Oak High School in North Carolina. He attended Ivy Tech and various trade schools to obtain a degree in the electrical field. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from June 1, 1956 to May 31, 1960 as an airman first class. He was an electrician at Delco Electronics, retiring in 1993 after 28 years of service. He was a former member of the Elks Club and a 30 year member of A/A. He was an avid golfer, bowler and fisherman.
Donald is survived by his wife, Judith Fox, Kokomo; sons, Michael Fox, Kokomo, David Fox, Kokomo, Brad (Candice) Fox, North Augusta, S.C.; daughter, Holly (Timothy) Pierce, Fishers; 10 grandchildren, Aubrey (Brian) Niebels, Jason (Jennifer) Fox, Joshua Fox, Jessica Fox, Kyle Price, Kathleen Pierce, Haley Fox, Bradley Fox II, Shelbey Fox and Zoey Fox; and two great-grandchildren, MaKayla Fox and Christian Niebels.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Harvey Eugene Fox.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery, with military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force and VFW Military Rites Team. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
