Roberta J. ‘Bobby’ DeHaven, 78, passed away March 27, 2013, after spending the evening with her family celebrating her birthday. Bobby was born March 27, 1935, to Anne and Gene Howard. She was married Dec. 21, 1952, in Peru to Charles W. DeHaven.
Bobby loved to read and she loved playing bingo with Bill. Her grandkids and great-grandkids were her pride and joy.
She is survived by three daughters, Terry Wilson (Daniel), Peru, Jeananne McKinley, Logansport, Judy Mattingly (Karl), Peru; One son, Jeffrey DeHaven (Tania), Peru; three granddaughters, Kristie Bryan, Walton, Erin Alford, Walton, and Jennifer DeHaven, Peru; six grandsons, Jason McKinley, Indianapolis, Josh McKinley, Richmond, Jonathan McKinley, Logansport, Aaron Wilson, Peru, Josh DeHaven, Peru, and Connor Mattingly, Peru. Bobby had nine great-grandkids, Brady, Baylie, Braxton, Juliahanna, Alexis, Isabella, Gavin, Alaina and Carly; one sister, Nancy Haywood, Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews.
Bobby was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Peggy Bakehorn and Sally Sherrick; one grandson, Karl Austin Mattingly; and one son-in-law, Pat McKinley.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, Peru, with Pastor Kenny Cole officiating. The viewing will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
