Donald E. ‘Dog’ ‘Paws’ Oglageo

March 2, 1950 - May 21, 2013

Donald E. “Dog” “Paws” Oglageo, 63, Kokomo, passed away at 5:43 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2013, at Community Howard Regional Health. Donald was born March 2, 1950, in Kokomo to the late Donald L. and Vivian I. Oglageo (Green). His married Kay Oglageo on Oct. 10, 1968, in Kokomo. She survives.

He worked at Chrysler Casting Plant for 40 years. He was a member of U.A.W. 1166. Donald was a Carroll High School Graduate in 1968. The love of his life was his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play baseball, basketball and watching band competitions and vacationing with the grandchildren in Tennessee. He also enjoyed watching WWE and Indiana basketball. He enjoyed watching and participating in car shows, and was getting ready to be able to join the “Shifters.” He was an avid race car driver in Bunker Hill. The car’s name was “Mr. Falcon.” He and his wife loved to gamble with their friends. He was on a team from Chrysler’s slow pitch softball. He also enjoyed helping children at his daughter’s Day Care “Lil Munchkins Pre-School.” He would help them with homework, field trips and movies. He also enjoyed holding the babies. A special thank you to his doctor, Dr. Timothy Gatewood, for going above and beyond the call of duty.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Oglageo; a daughter, Angela K. Dunlap (Trent); a son, Matt W. Oglageo (Girlie); a brother, Mike L. Oglageo (Joann); a sister, Deb K. Oglageo; three grandchildren, Tyler Dunlap, Autum Dunlap and Jordan Oglageo.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday also at the mortuary, with Barry Clemons officiating. Burial will follow in Russiaville Cemetery in Russiaville.
