Steve A. Golding 75, Peru, passed away at 10:06 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Caring Hands Health Care Center in Peru. Steve was born June 12, 1937, in Kokomo, to the late George Golding and Doreatha Dossett (Cohee). He married the former Frankie E Arnett on Sept. 9, 1960 in Kokomo.
Steve worked at Indiana Bell until retiring in 1994. He was in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of West Middleton Friends Church. He was a ham radio operator. He enjoyed metal detecting, fishing and drives in the country. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed bird watching.
Survivors include his wife, Frankie E. Golding; two daughters, Susan K. Clark (Michael) and Julie R. Judy (Kirk); two brothers, Jeff L. Golding (Nancy) and Roger Dossett; two sisters, Judy K. Lipinski (Tom) and Janice Sagstetter (Scott); four grandchildren, Rylie Gunning, Tyler Clark, Stevee Judy and Sydnee Judy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, James A. Golding and Steve A. Golding Jr.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday also at the mortuary with the Rev. Jason Grant officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in Steve’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation. There will be military honors at the graveside provided by the U.S. Air Force and the Kokomo Military Rites team.
