Paul E. Rollins, 87, Russiaville, died at 4:56 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Century Villa Health Care Center. He was born March 7, 1927, in Russiaville, the son of John Cooper and Violet Marie (Heaton) Rollins. On Nov. 29, 1948, Paul married Ruth Hodson who preceded him in death July 25, 1993.
Paul was a graduate of Russiaville High School and served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. He was employed as an Alloy Technician at Haynes Stellite for 28 years, and also was part owner of the Russiaville Bottle Shop. Paul was a 50-year member of the Russiaville Masonic Lodge F&AM #82, and was also a member of VFW Post No. 1152 in Kokomo, and a former member of the Russiaville American Legion Post.
Paul is survived by Bonnie S. (husband, Tony Capaccio) Rollins, Arlington, Va., Bruce A. Rollins, Rossville, and Blake E. (Jennifer) Rollins, Russiaville; grandchildren, Cooper, Tyler, Ryan, Brin’na and Grace Rollins; sister-in-law, Dot Rollins, Russiaville; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Rollins; two brothers, John and Charles Rollins; and daughter-in-law, Kay Rollins.
Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. today at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Russiaville Chapel, 200 E. Main St. Russiaville with Steve Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Russiaville Cemetery.
