---- — Harold L. Roe, 97, Winter Springs, Fla., formerly of Kokomo, passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Serenades Memory Care Assisted Living in Longwood, Fla. He was born Nov. 7, 1916, in Kokomo, to Bert and Anna Roe.
He resided in Kokomo most of his life and retired from Delco Electronics after 39 years of service. Harold was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed family activities, fishing, working on his home and his church, sharing time with his wife, traveling and spending winters in Florida.
Harold is survived by two children, Sondra Baker and husband, Haven, Winter Springs, Fla., and Ronald Roe and wife, Judy (Williams), Kokomo; five grandchildren, Bart Baker, Bradley Baker, Kimberly Robertson, Clark Roe and Dane Roe; and eight great-grandchildren.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Garnet; his parents, Bert and Anna Roe; and two sisters, Florence Eades and Annabelle Wolfe.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor Jeff Newton officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
