Brian Douglas Corder, 53, passed away at 5:07 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at his home. He was born Sept. 20, 1959, in Knoxville, Tenn., the son of Douglas Corder and Wanda (Symons) McBee-Hill.
Brian graduated from Eastern High School in 1978 and attended Indiana University Kokomo. He worked in security and management at General Motors and Delphi Automotive for over 28 years. His favorite hobby was fishing, and he absolutely loved it.
He is survived by his children, Amanda Brianne Corder, Kokomo, Nathan Allen Corder, Greentown; mother and stepfather, Wanda and Clayton McBee-Hill; brothers, Terry (Gina) Corder, Kokomo, Randy (Cheryl) McBee, Kokomo, Phillip McBee, Kokomo; nephews, Tucker Corder, Noblesville, Tony Corder, Noblesville, Tim (Melissa) McBee, Kokomo; niece, Miranda McBee, Kokomo; great-niece, Ellie McBee, Kokomo; grandmother, Viola A. Symons, Clinton, Tenn.; stepgrandmother, Edwinna McBee, Kokomo; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Greg (Vickie) Hill, Russiaville, Vickie (Brett) Shephard, Russiaville, Randy (Angie) Hill, Russiaville, Kim (Darren) O’Niel, Russiaville; several aunts, uncles, cousins, stepnieces and stepnephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Corder; grandfather, Robert E. Symons; stepfather, Randall McBee, who raised Brian as his own son; and stepgrandfather, Ben McBee.
Private services will be at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson St. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown.
