Jack L. Johnson, 69, Russiaville, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born April 19, 1944, in Vincennes, to Glen and Loretta (Davis) Johnson. On July 25, 1964, Jack married Lois Roberts, who survives.
Jack was a 1963 graduate of Sharpsville High School. He worked for Chrysler Casting Plant in Kokomo and retired in 2000. He was a member of UAW Local 1166. Jack enjoyed going fishing, golf, bowling, loved classical music, and loved being with his grandkids.
Survivors include wife Lois Johnson; three sons, Matthew A. Johnson, Martin E. Johnson, Mark L. Johnson, all of Russiaville; eight grandchildren, Paige (Mike) Carter, Cody (Christie) Johnson, Casey (Marissa) Johnson, Stacia Johnson, Andrew Jack Johnson, Ciara Johnson, Logan Mace, Ally Cherry; two great-grandchildren, Cordelia Carter, Avah Lynn Stephens; two sisters, Rhonda Miller, Crawfordville, Fla., Betty (Bill) Bobe, Bruceville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Loretta Johnson; son, Michael R. Johnson; two sisters, Sarita Jones, Carrie Carmichael; brother, Glen Johnson; and grandson, Zachary Mace.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., with Pastor Ron DeGraaff officiating services. Burial will follow at Russiaville Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
