Chad M. Damewood 31, Kokomo, passed away at 7:59 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at Community Howard Regional Health. Chad was born Jan. 11, 1982, in Kokomo, to Terry G. Damewood and Darlene S. Stout. His father preceded him in death. His marriage to Dayna M. Damewood, who survives, was in Kokomo on June 3, 2008.
Chad enjoyed fishing, taking walks or anything that involved being outdoors. He loved playing ball with his sons and was a loving husband and father. Chad never knew a stranger. He could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Dayna M. Damewood; four sons, Christien G. Damewood, Blayke C. Acord, Chathan Damewood, and Kylar Damewood; his mother, Darlene S. Stout; three sisters, Amanda Augustus (James), Crystal Marion (Danny), and Anna Damewood; two nieces, Shaylin and Ashley; along with a cousin who was like a brother, J.R. Damewood (Lisa).
Chad was preceded in death by his father, Terry G. Damewood, along with his paternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St. Services will follow at 1 p.m., also at the mortuary, with Pastor Dennis Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Albright Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Chad’s memory to the family. Envelopes will be provided at the mortuary.
