Kristopher Lee Ridgeway, 37, Kokomo, passed away at 10:46 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, in his home. Kristopher was born in Kokomo on July 8, 1976, to the surviving Dr. Ken O. and Patricia (Williams) Ridgeway.
He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1994 then continued his education with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from I.U. and also two years of law school at Valparaiso University. Kristopher owned and operated KLR, a private construction company. He always enjoyed working with his hands, building or repairing something. Kristopher also exceled at landscaping, designing and installing projects for several people.
Kristopher is survived by his wife; daughter, Kaylee Ridgeway; parents, Dr. Ken and Patricia Ridgeway; brothers, Kevin (Cindy) Ridgeway and Kent Ridgeway; grandparents, Clearance (Virginia) Williams; aunt, Shyla Ridgeway; and nephews, Jackson and Quinn Ridgeway.
Kristopher was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Maxine Ridgeway.
There will be a memorial service for Kristopher at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., with Pastor Greg Reed officiating. Kristopher’s friends and family are welcome to join for a time of visitation from 5 p.m. until the time of the service that same day, also at the mortuary. Kristopher will be privately laid to rest in Albright Cemetery at a later date.
