Martha “Peg” A. Lyon, 86, Logansport, passed away at 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, in her residence. Born June 17, 1927, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late William and Huldah (Miller) Dodrill.
Martha worked as a waitress at Harvey’s and the Country Inn. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, dining out, and reading.
Surviving are four daughters, Carol (Frank) Robinson, Celina, Tenn., Betty (Ron) Rawls, Raleigh, N.C., Penny (Rich) Ferren, and Margaret Terwilliger, both of Logansport; grandchildren, Mike Terwilliger, Tara (Jose) Montavlo, Jimmy (Donna) Stewart, all of Logansport, John Thompson, Wabash, Charlene Thompson, Logansport, Samantha (Scott) Charter, Jonathan (Dana) Robinson, both of Kentucky, Frank Robinson Jr., Christina Edwards, both of Logansport, Richard Rawls, Raleigh, N.C., Lee Rawls, Pennsylvania; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved dog, Katie. Also surviving are stepgrandchildren, David Maroney, Linda Kurts, Bobby (Muffy) Maroney, and Mary (Gary) Maroney.
She was preceded in death by one brother, William Dodrill; one sister, Dorothy Bodell; and her companion, Robert Maroney.
A funeral service will be at noon Thursday in Gundrum Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Horace Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Thursday.
