Angeline Hanna Fife, 91, formerly of Flora, died at 12:35 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Golden Living Healthcare-Kokomo. She was born April 2, 1923, in Burnettsville, to the late Homer and Faye Johnsonbaugh Hanna. Her marriage was to Donald E. Fife in Flora, on Dec. 31, 1944, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 2004.
She was a 1942 graduate of Flora High School. She was a homemaker, and helped her husband on their farm, then she worked at Logansport Memorial Hospital as an aide, and Stephan’s IGA. She was a charter member of the Grace Brethren Church in Flora, where she taught Sunday school and was very active in her church. She belonged to the Friendly Circle Home Ec Club, enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was an avid reader, and dearly loved her family.
Surviving are a son, Richard “Dick” and Sharon Fife, Galveston; sisters, Genevieve Warnick, North Manchester, Ruth Cato, Roanoke, Va.; four grandsons; one granddaughter; two great-grandsons; eight great-granddaughters; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Doris Clem, Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers-in-law, Paul Fife, Bringhurst, Kenneth and Rosana Fife, Brownsburg. Preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Reef; a great-grandson.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until her funeral at noon Saturday at Baker-Abbott Funeral Home, Flora. The Rev. Jim Franklin will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
