Virginia P. “Ginnie” Severns, 82, Kokomo, died at 12:55 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013, surrounded by her family after suffering a massive stroke Saturday evening in Kokomo. She was born March 30, 1931, in Kokomo, the daughter of Cecil and Emma (Percival) Pierce. On Oct. 1, 1950, she married E.P. Severns, who survives.

She was a member of the Symposium, where she was past president, and a member of PEO, where she was past president. One of her passions was that all of her grandchildren either have or are currently attending Culver Academies.
