---- — Stephanie Drake-Holtson, 55, Kokomo passed away Wednesday morning Oct. 2, 2013 from complications with her cancer. She was born April 27, 1958 in Sumter, S.C. to the late Elizabeth Dazey and Robert E. Drake.
Stephanie was known throughout the community for her positive, outgoing, infectious spirit and the happiness that she shared with all those she touched. She loved and was loved by her students as a teacher with Kokomo-Center Schools. We, her family, having had the grace of her love and care, are all the better for it. Together, we have had a happy and fulfilling family run. In her spirit, we will try to keep paying it forward.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Berry; two sons, Joseph Drake and Ian James Holtson, Kokomo; her sister, Rochelle Drake Gillan (Steve), D. Kevin Drake (Laura), Crawfordsville.
A wake for Stephanie will be held at PASTAriffic Italian Restaurant, Casa Bella Room, Friday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. (memorial comments at 8 p.m.) (3001 S. Webster St., Kokomo, IN or 765-455-1312.)
Stephanie is the daughter-in-law of the recently deceased James A. Sycamore St., Kokomo, IN 46901. The fund’s focus will be helping late-in-life, non-traditional students achieve their teaching certifications.
