Eulalia “Lala” C. Seal, 83, Kokomo, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at 4:45 p.m. at Community Howard Regional Health System.

She was born on Sept. 10, 1929 in Youngsville, N.M. to the late Ramon and Odelia (Valesquez) Chacon. On Nov. 13, 1954, she married Herman E. “Ed” Seal, who he preceded her in death Nov. 26, 1998.

Lala was an employee of General Motors for 20 years, retiring in 1993. She worked a few other jobs throughout her life, but none were more important than being a wife, mother and grandmother. She belonged to the U.A.W. 292, and the ladies auxiliary at the Eagles. She loved bowling and playing slots at the casinos. She rarely missed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s ballgames. She was also an avid Colts fan.

Lala is survived by her children, Deborah J. Seal, Annette Keating, Janice L. (Dale) Hart, Tresa K. (fiance, Bruce Gruendler) Seal, Roger K. (Karen) Seal and Penny Dick; her grandchildren, Rusty (fiance April Welsh) Pine, Amber (Tom) Cook, Danny M. (Kim) Keating Jr., Crystal L. Keating, Heather Hart Whitacre, Paul (Bethany) Hart, Chris Hart, Angela M. Dorsey, Eric S. (Meghan) Seal, Jason M. (Alicia) Seal, Kristen E. Seal, Jennifer L. Seal, Kimberly N. Seal, Tina (Doug) White, Anastasia (Rolland) Joyner and Dawn Dick; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marbella Riley, Belen (Dee) Colvin and Connie (Allen) Martinez; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lala was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed; daughters, Kimberly Sue Seal, who passed away in 1970, and Ruth Hayes; a sister, Dorothy Cohn; sister-in-law, Zelma Stutzman, brothers-in-law, John Stutzman and Bernard Riley.

There will be a funeral service for Lala at 11 a.m. Monday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., with Pastor Stacey Swinson and Deacon Ron Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.

All of Lala’s friends and family are welcome to join together for a time of visitation from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, also at the mortuary, with a Rosary service at 5:30 p.m.

You are invited to read Lala’s obituary at www.ellersmortuary.com, where you may view the tribute DVD, sign the guest book, share a personal message or order flowers for the family.
