Hubert A. Fearnow, 95, Tipton, died at 1:39 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Tipton. He was born Aug. 19, 1916, in Clinton County to Warren and Hattie (Sprinkle) Fearnow. He was married to Enna Jean Jaggers, who preceded him in death May 29, 2001.
He was a farmer, a ship builder, and worked masonry in construction. Hubert was a master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, serving during World War II and the Korean War, and receiving his discharge from the U.S. Air Force Reserves Feb. 28, 1970.
Hubert is survived by four children, Stacy Richardson, Crawfordsville, Stephanie Hale, Frankfort, Kerry Bradford, Decatur, Ill., and Dean Grant, Lafayette; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Annamae Nance, Marjorie Price, Mary Wallace and Roberta Hufford; and two brothers, Robert Fearnow and James Fearnow.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Leslie Fearnow and Virginia Hendryx.
A graveside service with military honors is 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kempton Cemetery, Kempton, with the Rev. Larry O’Brien presiding. Burial will follow.
No visitation is scheduled.
