---- — Shirley Marie Woodward, 75, Kokomo, passed away at 5:39 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born on Nov. 23, 1937, in Judsonia, Ark., to the late R.E. and Edna (Skinner) Martin.
Shirley worked at Sycamore Village as the dietary manager for 26 years until retiring. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and spending time with her family. Shirley was a member of the 700 Club.
Surviving are her children, Joe Barela, Kokomo, Mike Barela, North Dakota, Ronnie Barela, Kokomo, Todd Hollingsworth, Kokomo, Tim Hollingsworth, Kokomo, Lesa DePalma, Kokomo; three brothers, Jack Martin, Arkansas, James Martin, Arkansas, Johnny Martin, Arkansas; two sisters, Lillie Mae Taylor, Arkansas, Mary Lee Swaffor, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and former husband, Oscar Hollingsworth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert Martin, Russell Martin; and one sister, Lillian Jonda.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., Kokomo, with the Rev. Scott L. Butzin officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Point Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
