James “Jim” Badger, 68, Peru, passed away at 1:40 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2013, at his home. He was born on July 26, 1944, in Kokomo to James and Marilyn (Leivure) Badger. On March 10, 1979, he married Olivia Winters in Kokomo, and she survives.
Jim was an Ivy Tech college graduate in computer electronics. He worked for the city of Kokomo for 15 years and was a union representative. He also worked for Chrysler as a truck driver for 20 years and retired in 2007. Jim was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt.
Survivors include his wife, Olivia Badger, Peru; children, Christoper (Teresa) Luckey, Nashville, Tenn., Brent (Christy) Badger, Tipton, Cheryn (Charles) Seay, Walton, Carrie Luckey, Kokomo, Brandon (Andrea) Badger, Lapel, LaDonna (Ronnie) Buis, Kokomo, Kelly (Andrea) Badger, Fort Wayne; brother, Dwayne Martin, Kokomo; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marilyn.
A celebration of life will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Doyle Buckner officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
