Robert C. Renbarger, 91, Greentown, died at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Century Villa Healthcare, Greentown. He was Dec. 6, 1921, in Sharpsville, the son of Con L. and Anna Fern (Maple) Renbarger.
On July 14, 1950, he married Madonna J. (Hinds) Renbarger and she survives.
Mr. Renbarger had been a self-employed farmer for most of his life and had worked in maintenance at Taylor High School for more than 20 years. He graduated from Union High School and served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of the Meridian Street Christian Church and Gideon’s International. He enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening.
Survivors are his wife, Madonna Renbarger; and three sons, David A. (Teresa) Renbarger, Greentown, Charles R. (Traci) Renbarger, Jonesboro, and James R. (Judy) Renbarger, Greentown; six grandchildren, Chad Renbarger, Brandon Renbarger, Nate (Betsy) Renbarger, Karlie (Daniel) Story, Jensen Renbarger and Joby Renbarger; and 12 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Hasler & Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greeentown. Pastor Bruce Mumaw and Pastor Kevin Sparling will officiate. Burial will be in Converse Cemetery, Converse following the service with military rites provided by the American Legion Post #317. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hasler & Stout Funeral Home.
