Mary “Maxine” Linn, 87, Kokomo, passed away at 3:05 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, in Allisonville Meadows, Fishers. She was born May 29, 1925, in Yale, Ill., the daughter of the late Ralph V. Clark and Thelma M. (Cummins) Clark. On Dec. 29, 1945, in Kokomo, she married James Bartlett Linn. He preceded her in death April 12, 1991.
She was a homemaker and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Kokomo Country Club and the Cheer Guild. She liked to dance and listen to music.
She is survived by two daughters, Sherry (George) Myers, Indianapolis, and Cynthia (Ben) Burge, Westfield; one brother, Lloyd E. Clark, Kokomo; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Craig) Cleveland, Michael R. (Jenny) Myers, Craig W. (Amy) Myers, Ashley N. (Daniel) Becker and Blake A. Kuntz; six great-grandchildren, Hayden A. Cleveland, Emma C. Cleveland, Jack W. Myers, Kate L. Myers, Josie R. Myers and William J. Myers; a special nephew David Clark.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Noel D. Clark and Ralph V. Clark Jr.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo. Pastor Larry Newberg will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be directed to Grace United Methodist Church or to St. Joseph Hospital Cheer Guild. Envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
