Helen J. Holt, 80, Sharpsville, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in her home with the company of her caregivers, Todd Cottingham and Patricia Wood. Helen was born June 23, 1932, to Lonzo Miller and Vera (Arnett) Miller in Kokomo.
Helen retired from Delco in 1992 after working there for 44 years, where she was a supervisor. After retiring from Delco, she worked at Lowes, where she made several close friends.
Helen is survived by her sister, Patricia Wood, Sharpsville; grandchildren, Chelsea Merrell, Kokomo, and Jadan Miller-Harrison, Sharpsville; nephew, Tony Ellis, Monticello; great-nephews, Todd Cottingham, Sharpsville, and Tom Ellis, Bloomington; great-niece, Dana (husband, Jared) Stephenson, Walton; grandchildren, Dayten Merrell, Emma Merrell, Ethan Merrell, all of Kokomo, and Isabelle Harrison, Sharpsville; great-grandchildren, Braylon Butler and Rylenn Merrell, Kokomo; and two great-great-nieces. She is also survived by several extended family members and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved son, William “Billy” Miller III; two brothers, Bill Miller Sr. and Jack Miller; a nephew; two nieces; and a special niece, Debbie Ellis.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Boyer Funeral Home, Sharpsville, where a prayer service will be conducted at 8 p.m.
