Joyce A. Kelly, 80, Kokomo, died at 3:15 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at Waterford Place Health Campus. She was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of Ignatz and Theckla (Baumann) Matschnig. On August 28, 1954, in Sheboygan, Wis., she married Robert G. Kelly, who preceded her in death May 28, 2001.
Joyce was a 1950 graduate of Plymouth High School in Sheboygan, Wis. She was a homemaker. She loved cooking, sewing and gardening. She enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Joyce is survived by her children, Molly Kelly (Peter Haas), Plano, Texas, Mary Kelly, Westfield, Dean Kelly (Christi), Lafayette, Kathleen Kelly, Indianapolis, Patrick Kelly (Darleen), Peru, Ann Freeman (Scott), Kokomo, and Kristi Short (Joseph), Kokomo; grandchildren, Matthew Jones, Collin Haas, Madeline Haas, Ian Kelly, Patrick Kelly, Audrey Freeman, Andrew Freeman, Connor Short, Jillian Short, Xen Kelly and Ahhnora Kelly; great-grandchildren, Sean Jones and Erin Jones; sister, Rosemarie Matschnig, San Diego, Calif.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, Frank, Edward, Richard and Howard; and one sister, Patricia DeVincent.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor Joyce Harris officiating. Friends are invited to call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, and from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
