Terry A. Cooke, 63, passed away at his residence in Allons, Tenn., March 16, 2013. He was born March 19, 1949, the son of James (J.I.) Cooke and Margaret L. (Gideon) Cooke in Lenoir City, Tenn.
Terry retired from Daimler Chrysler July 31, 2003. He was active in United Auto Workers Local 685. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a highly skilled tradesman and often gave away his creations to loved ones. His love for creating, building and remodeling was only surpassed by his love for nature and the outdoors.
Survivors are two stepchildren, Laura (Brian) Brown, Russiaville, and Dan (Felicia) Jordan, Noblesville; one son, Christopher (Sarah) Cooke, Noblesville; five grandchildren, Melissa Fuina, Florida, Wendy Thompson, Kokomo, Michael Brown, Russiaville, Myranda Brown, Russiaville, and Jessica Cooke, Noblesville; two sisters, Gayla Sturtsman, Russiaville and Kimberly (Marino) Moralez, Peru.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, James I. Cooke and Margaret L. Cooke, Kokomo; and two infant sisters.
A memorial will be scheduled.
