Kalin Daniel Storie

Nov. 28, 1995 - March 27, 2013

Kalin Daniel Storie, 17, Kokomo, met his Lord and Savior at Wednesday evening, March 27, 2013, after sustaining injuries in a car accident. He was born Nov. 28, 1995, in Anderson, the son of Rick D. and Miriam E. (Jackson) Storie.

Kalin was a junior at Northwestern High School, where he played on the varsity football team, ran track, sang in the choir, was a member of the National Honors Society and a member of Transformers. He was passionate for his love of the Lord. He worked at Pizza King on the south end and enjoyed cars, playing guitar and any kind of music. He had a lot of good friends and always had a smile on his face.

Kalin is survived by his parents, Rick and Miriam Storie, Kokomo; two brothers, Brennan and Jace Storie, both of Kokomo; grandparents, Janet Trisler, Anderson, Al Jackson, Middletown, Don and Judy Storie, Muncie; uncles and aunts, Randy Jackson, Joe (Cathy) Jackson, David (Melissa) Jackson, Sherry Jones, Sarah (Phil) Zanoni, Robin (Neil) McKee, Chris (Mary) Reeder, Connie (Jerry) Lehman, Pam (Shane) Lee, Carl (Rea) Storie and David (Judy) Bennett; and several special cousins.

Funeral services celebrating Kalin’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor Chad Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday. A memorial service will be held after spring break at Northwestern High School, the date and time of which will be determined at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalin Storie Trust Fund at First Farmer Bank and Trust. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
