Rose Mary Cappoli, 84, Kokomo, passed away at 9:12 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013, at her residence. Born Sept. 24, 1928, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Clarence and Luella Keigley Lloyd. She was married to August Cappoli, who preceded her in death in 1971.
Mrs. Cappoli was the retired manager of Kings Crown Inn in Kokomo. Prior to that, she had been employed in Logansport, Frankfort and Lafayette.
Rose Mary enjoyed solving crossword puzzles. She read the Bible daily and had completely read it twice through.
She was an avid sports fan, favoring the Indianapolis Colts, Pacers and Purdue University. Her greatest enjoyment was attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Surviving are daughters, Patricia Rogers, Kokomo, Pamela (William) Rhoton, Odon, and Susie (Don) Baker, Carmel; son, Thomas Cappoli, Valdosta, Ga.; sisters, Mildred St. John, Portland, Ore., and Carolyn Luttschweger, Benson, Ariz. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two children, Michael and Barbara Cappoli; a grandson, Willie Rhoton; and two sisters, Helen Savini and Shirley Kissinger.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kroeger Funeral Home, Logansport. The Rev. Larry Richason will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
