Ronald Ray Vorhees, 69, Logan, Ohio, passed away March 8, 2013, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born Oct. 27, 1943, in Lancaster to Chester Ray and Frances Opal Vorhees.
He retired from the Chrysler Corp. in Kokomo after 32 years, and attended Rockbridge United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara J. Vorhees, whom he married in 1979; daughter, Regina Lynn Vorhees, Kokomo; sons, Mark Allyn Vorhees, Kokomo, and Ronald Lee (Patricia Wilkins) Vorhees, Nynoa Lake; grandchildren, Kristopher Kane DeWitt, Justin Vorhees, Jake Conley, Audrey Lee Frances Vorhees, Braden Ray Vorhees, Camryn Alexander Vorhees, Haven Skyane Vorhees and Dalton Eugene Conley; great-grandchildren, Max Williams, Layne Vorhees, Allyson Cover, and one on the way; stepdaughter, Marilyn (Bill) Bersbach; stepgrandchildren, Lindsey (Taylor) Phillips, Mackenzie (David) Jeffs and Decklin MacKenzie Jeffs.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carolyn Sue Willison; and brother, Darrell Lee Vorhees.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio, with Rev. John Williams officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in South Bloomingville, Ohio. Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
