Renita G. Humphries, 53, Kokomo, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013, at her residence. Renita G. Humphries was born Aug. 21, 1959.
She was a laborer for Opportunity Industrialization Center and formerly was employed by Mechanics Laundry. She was a member of Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church. She was a 1977 graduate of Kokomo High School. She also volunteered as a poll worker.
Her father, Walter V. Humphries, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her mother, Shirley J. Humphries; son, Frederick T. Humphries (Stephanie); sisters, Vicky Price (William), Denorse Guynn (Marquis), Alicia Mills (Bryon), Donita Humphries; brothers, Walter R., Indianapolis, and Stacey L. Humphries (Melanie); one aunt, Elizabeth Tinder; special friend, Doris Tudor; four grandchildren, Brandon, Brianica, Brielle, Brody; and nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Special thanks is given to the Nightingale Hospice, especially Ann Cox, Tammi Frye and Randell Householder.
Services will be noon Wednesday at Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Lonnie E. Anderson will be the eulogist. Elder William Price and Elder Bryon Mills will officiate. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Bluitt & Son Funeral Home.
