Following her mother’s passing, Mary was raised by her uncle and aunt, Charles C. and Martha Spaulding, in Sharpsville. She was a graduate of Sharpsville High School in 1936. She had served as Deputy of District #16 O.E.S. for the State of Indiana, and also was selected to be Grand Representative to the State of Texas for O.E.S. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters, and a retired member of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority in Attica.

Mary leaves behind three children, Linda L. (Robert) Haworth, Rochester, Vicki S. (Arpad) Vass, Lilburn, Ga., and Robert D. (Valarie) Maus, Attica; six grandchildren, Lisa (Mike) Malone, Lora (Lee) White, Molly Vass, Ben Vass, Nathan Maus and Amy Maus; four great-grandchildren, Megan (Brandon) Miller, Morgan Malone, Matthew White and Wyatt Maus; a great-great-granddaughter, Jaclyn Leigh Miller; a special niece, Candi Crye, Ft. Myers, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Ford and Lou Spaulding; and her three sisters, Lula Henderson, Letha Wilburn and Ruth Scheiber.
