Gloria M. McMasters, 86, Kokomo, passed away at 6:40 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at North Woods Village. She was born Nov. 17, 1926, in Kokomo. She was the daughter of the late Bert Crawford and Goldie (Turner) Crawford. On Dec. 6, 1946, she married Joe McMasters, and he preceded her in death June 23, 1997. She was employed at Delco Electronics, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the U.A.W. Local 292.
She enjoyed cooking, crafts, flower gardening, winemaking, rummage sales and looking for antiques. Most of all, she was a wonderful mother and friend.
She is survived by her children, Denise McMaster, Kokomo, and Mark McMasters, Sharpsville; and one brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Polly Crawford, Florida, brother-in-law, Jean McMasters, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; half brother, James O’Maley; half sister, June Kelly; and brother, Bert Crawford Jr.
The family wishes to express gratitude to the staff at North Woods Village for their compassionate care.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., with Pastor Arly Mitcham officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
