---- — Betty J. Leep, 88, Kokomo, passed away at 1:47 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born on June 16, 1925, in Peru, to the late Harry and Nellie (Dobson) Creamer. On June 28, 1946, in Kokomo, she married George Leep. George passed away on March 14, 2013.
Betty worked on assembly at Delco for 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed watching Turner Classic movies, sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids, and great-grandkids.
Surviving are her four children, Rodger D. and wife Kathy Leep, Kokomo, David L. Leep, Russiaville, Marcia A. and husband Floyd Shaw, Kokomo, Cindy J. Leep, Kokomo; daughter-in- law, Dutch Leep, Kokomo; grandchildren, Jeremy and wife Jenny Shaw, Jim and wife Tammi Shaw, Christine Leep, Monica and husband Brian Jones, Derrick Leep, Melissa and husband Shawn Henson, and Kerra Leep; great-grandchildren, Karlie Shaw, Evan Shaw, Emma Shaw, Cooper Shaw, Nick Leep, Miles Leep, Elizabeth Jones, Briaina Rohrabaugh, and Alexia Rohrabaugh; one sister, Bonnie Smith, Monticello; and two special dogs, Candy and Pollyanna.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kerry G. Leep; one brother, five sisters, and one granddaughter, Shelly Shaw.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., Kokomo, IN 46901, with Pastor Paul Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
