Glory Winslow Eaton, 87, Clarksville, formerly of Kokomo, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013. She was born July 30, 1925, in Racine, Wis., the daughter of Fisher and Mary (Tarter) Bennett. On Dec. 6, 1941 (the day before Pearl Harbor), she married Delbert Winslow. He preceded her in death after 34 years of marriage. She married her second husband, Meredith Eaton, who preceded her in death Feb. 20, 2012.
Glory lived most of her life in Kokomo. She attended Kokomo High School and Grace United Methodist Church. During the war years, she worked at Haynes Stellite and Delco Radio. For many years, she and Mr. Winslow operated Winslow’s Food Market on the corner of Phillips and North streets. Later she retired from J.C. Penney Co. after 20 years of service.
Glory is survived by a son, Vaughn Winslow and his wife Denise, Sellersburg; two grandchildren, Tyler and Jenna Winslow, both of Sellersburg; and one great-grandchild, William Braxton Winslow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two brothers, Leon Bennett and Charles Bennett; and sister, Orlena Kunaw.
