Donald E. Henry, 66, Kokomo, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at his residence. Donald was born May 15, 1947, in Kokomo to the late Earl B. and Helen B. (Parker) Henry. His marriage to the former Mary E. Campbell was Dec. 31, 1970.
Donald was in the U.S. Air Force. He worked at Chrysler Corp., retiring in 1999. He attended Christian Heritage Worship Center, was a member of the Local UAW 685, past member of VICS, Goodfellows, Red Cross, past president of Howard County Chapter of Mothers March of Dimes, and We Care.
Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Henry; three sons, Bryan Strange, Steven Henry and Ron Strange (Jody); four daughters, Brenda Creason, Christina Walsh (Daniel), Robynne Henry and Rhonda Henry; a sister, Wilma Grabes (Scotty); 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Victor Henry; and a grandchild, Jenise Gang.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, also at the mortuary, with Pastor Phil Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. There will be full military rites provided by the U.S. Air Force and the Kokomo Military Rites team.
