Meredith V. McAninch, 99, Bowling Green, Ohio, died Friday, June 6, 2014, in Bowling Green. She was born May 26, 1915, in Greentown, to Glen and Edith (Armstrong) Lee. She married Roy McAninch on April 8, 1933, and he preceded her in death in 1984.
Meredith worked in the family business for many years, as the friendly receptionist at Knickerbocker Building Services in Bowling Green. She loved crocheting, crosswords and jigsaw puzzles, and attending the many sporting events her grandchildren and great-grandchildren participated in – especially baseball games at BG Carter Park and hockey at the BGSU Ice Arena.
She is survived by her son, Keith (Mary), Burlington; grandchildren, Kirk (Kim) McAninch, Angie (Brian) Plutat, Kyle McAninch, Denise (Terry) Murphy, Karen McMally, Michael (Elizabeth) Messenger, Steven (Jill) Messenger, Timothy Messenger, Jeffrey (Nancy) Messenger and Todd and Cynthia Messenger; 22 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughters, Virginia Rosselot and Patty Ann Messenger; and a brother, Robert E. Lee.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hasler-Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greentown, with Rev. Dave Osborne officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Additional visitation will be held 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday at Hasler-Stout Funeral Home.
