---- — Nola Mae (Thieke) Petty, 86, Kokomo, passed away at 12:46 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Fairmont Rehabilitation. She was born Feb. 22, 1927 to Orvil L. and Lillie B. (Bristow) Thieke, in Missouri. On Dec. 14, 1949, in Kokomo, she was married to Bobby J. Petty. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Nola was a homemaker and lived in Forest before going to Fairmont Nursing Home in Kokomo. She was a member of Honey Creek Baptist Church, Russiaville. She loved to cook and collect recipes. She loved her church, good friends and her extended family, the Jackson family.
She is survived by sisters-in-law, Wanda Thieke, Juanita Thieke, Gail Thieke and Liz Thieke; several nieces and nephews; and many brothers and sisters in Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orvil and Lillie; and six brothers, Lonnie Thieke, Earl J. Thieke, George Thieke, Leonard Ed Thieke, Bob Thieke and Larry Thieke.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at Lincoln Road Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor Leman Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
