Jean D. O’Neil, 83, Kokomo, passed away at 1:11 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, at Community Howard Regional Hospital. She was born March 2, 1930, in Kokomo, to Robert H. and Lydia (Dumble) Davison. On Oct. 5, 1952, at St. Andrew Episcopal Church in Kokomo, she married J. Wallace “Wally” O’Neil. He preceded her in death Feb. 16, 2011.
Jean graduated from Kokomo High School in 1949. She was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church. She was also a member of the sewing guild, was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed craft making.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy W. O’Neil, at home; sister, Edna Davison, Kokomo; brother, Robert Jr. and wife Joan Davison, Gloucester City, N.J.; and nieces and nephews, Lori and husband Ron Hart, Robert Davison, Daniel Davison, and Matthew and wife Kelly Davison, all of New Jersey.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., with Father Richard Lightsey officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
