Teresa Kay “Tree” (Gibson) Wilder, 46, died at 9:13 a.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013, at her home. She was born June 25, 1966, in Kokomo, the daughter of Jimmie Joe and Barbara Olene (Gebert) Gibson. She was married to Craig Wilder, and he preceded her in death.

Tree was a 1984 graduate of Haworth High School and a graduate of Purdue University, with an associate degree in design technology. She worked for Delphi Corp. for 20 years as a CAD designer.

Tree was class president her senior year. She loved music, was a cheerleader and was a swimmer, having won the state championship in AAU. She loved watching horror movies, “Twilight Zone,” “Andy Griffith,” Food Network and “Bizarre Foods” with Andrew Zimmern. She enjoyed gardening and her beloved dog, Flatie.

Tree loved to take care of others, she had so many friends that treasured and adored her. Her smile and hugs were special to those who knew her.

Tree is survived by her mother, Barbara Gibson; sister, Jody Gibson; brother, Byron Gibson and his wife, Tracy; niece, Ashleigh Gibson; nephews, Cody Gibson and Dustin Paul; great-niece, Issie Gibson, great-nephew, Kolton Gibson; many beloved cousins, aunts and uncles; and treasured friend, Don Cree.

She was preceded in death by her father, and beloved husband.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home Crematory Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor William Allison officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.
