Kevin A. Hickey, 52, Kokomo, passed away at 5:01 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013. He was born in Grant County Dec. 30, 1959, to Jim Hickey and Janis (Robbins) Wimmer.
Kevin graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1978, and then later continued his education with an associate degree from ITT Tech. In their back yard, on July 18, 1987, Kevin married Debbie Bryant and she survives.
Kevin worked as an electrician at Delphi from 1985 to 2006. He belonged to the U.A.W. 292, was a lifetime member of the NRA and belonged to the Deer Creek Conservation Club in Jonesboro. He enjoyed woodworking and playing bass guitar.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Debbie Hickey; daughter, Samantha Hickey; son, Cameron Hickey; parents, Jim (Freda) Hickey and Janis Wimmer; and siblings, Russell Hickey and Tracy Karnes.
Kevin’s friends and family are welcome to join together for a time of visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St. There will be a memorial service for Kevin beginning at 6 p.m. that same evening, also at the mortuary, with Pastor Jason Armes officiating.
